The candidate of the African Democratic Congress for Ondo North Senatorial District, Prince Foluso Mayowa Adefemi, has decried what he described as the persistent underdevelopment and lack of adequate representation in the senatorial district.
Adefemi, who disclosed this while speaking on his ambition, said Ondo North had lagged behind in critical areas of development despite its enormous human and economic potential.
He said the district required a representative who would prioritise the interests of the people, attract meaningful projects and ensure that their concerns received adequate attention at the National Assembly.
According to him, his decision to contest the election was driven by the desire to provide purposeful and accountable representation to the people of Ondo North.
“I am contesting because Ondo North deserves better. Our people have enormous potential, but the district has remained underdeveloped in several critical areas. We need representation that will bring development closer to the people,” he said.
Adefemi pledged to make the welfare and development of the senatorial district the priority of his mandate if elected, promising to use his position to attract projects and opportunities that would directly benefit constituents.
“We will not take the mandate of the people for granted. My commitment is to provide quality representation, speak boldly for our people and ensure that Ondo North gets its fair share of development,” he added.
He urged the people of Ondo North to support his candidacy, assuring them that an ADC victory would usher in a new era of effective representation, accountability and development in the senatorial district.
