The JadeRola Foundation has unveiled its “Back to School 1.0” project, an initiative aimed at supporting pupils and students in public schools across Ute and easing some of the financial challenges associated with school resumption.
The programme, according to the foundation, is part of its commitment to community development and educational support, with selected beneficiaries drawn from public primary and secondary schools in the community.
The Project Coordinator, Oluwaseun Ogunniyi, said the initiative was designed not merely to distribute educational materials but to invest in the future of young learners.
Ogunniyi said, “Education remains one of the strongest tools for transforming lives and building a better future. Through the Back to School 1.0 Project, JadeRola Foundation is creating an opportunity to support children, inspire confidence, and remind them that their dreams and aspirations matter.”
He added that the intervention was intended to reduce barriers to learning while encouraging children to remain committed to their education.
According to him, beneficiaries will receive items including school bags, exercise books, mathematical sets, scientific calculators, water bottles, umbrellas, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners and other learning materials.
The foundation said beneficiaries would be selected from public schools across Ute, covering both primary and secondary institutions, with priority given to children who would derive meaningful benefit from the intervention.
It called on individuals, organisations and other well-meaning members of the public to support the initiative, saying sustained investment in education remained critical to building a brighter future for children in the community.
Further details on the selection of beneficiaries and distribution arrangements, the foundation said, would be announced in due course.
