Former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has lost her husband, Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, who passed away at the age of 62.
His death was announced by the Adeosun family in a statement made available on Thursday. The family disclosed that he died in Lagos on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
The statement, signed on behalf of the family by Rev. C. A. Adeosun, described the deceased as an accomplished businessman and devoted Christian who lived a life marked by humility, integrity and dedication to God, his family and society.
The family noted that Anthony Adeosun would be remembered for his generosity, strong moral values and positive impact on the lives of those who came in contact with him.
While expressing grief over his passing, the family said it was taking solace in faith and appreciated the prayers and support received from friends, associates and sympathisers.
It added that arrangements for his funeral and Christian burial would be announced in due course.
The late Anthony Adeosun is survived by his wife, Kemi Adeosun, his children and other family members, including his brother, Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital.
