The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Dr Ademola Ebeloku, has urged Muslim faithful to uphold peace, tolerance, humility and compassion as they celebrate the 2026 Eid-el-Maulud.
Ebeloku, in a goodwill message issued on behalf of the institution’s Governing Council, management, staff and students, congratulated Muslim staff and students of the polytechnic as well as the wider Muslim community on the occasion.
The rector said the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad should inspire Muslims to reflect on his exemplary life and apply the values of service, compassion and peaceful coexistence in their daily activities.
He urged members of the polytechnic community to translate these virtues into their conduct, noting that character, learning and service remained central to the institution’s mission.
Ebeloku also called on the Muslim faithful to use the occasion to pray for peace, unity and progress in the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State and Nigeria.
He appealed to celebrants to conduct themselves responsibly throughout the festivities while extending kindness and goodwill to others.
The rector expressed optimism that the celebration would strengthen bonds of unity and promote peaceful coexistence among members of the polytechnic community and the wider society.
Ebeloku wished the Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Maulud celebration, saying, “Eid Mubarak.”
