The Nigeria Police Force has deployed ACP Iwasokun Femi as the new Area Commander for the Ore Area Command in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Femi began his official engagement in the area with a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Taiwo Adegoroye, at the council secretariat.
The new commander said he was committed to ensuring effective policing through professionalism, discipline, impartiality and respect for the rule of law.
He also promised to collaborate with community leaders, residents, government authorities and other security agencies to strengthen security and protect lives and property across the area.
Femi urged residents to support the police by providing timely and useful information, stressing that effective security could not be achieved without the cooperation of the public.
In his response, Adegoroye congratulated the police officer on his deployment and pledged the council’s cooperation in tackling security challenges and creating a conducive environment for residents and businesses.
The council chairman described the people of Odigbo as peaceful and hardworking, urging the new commander to maintain strong ties with traditional rulers, community leaders and residents.
Adegoroye further charged Femi to uphold accountability and professionalism while working with other security agencies to improve intelligence sharing and the overall security of the local government.
