The singer reportedly died on Saturday after a brief illness, according to publisher and socialite, Otunba Femi Davies, who announced the development in a Facebook post on Sunday.
Announcing the musician's passing, Davies described St. Janet as one of the country's notable Juju entertainers renowned for her electrifying stage performances and vibrant party songs.
"St. Janet (Iyun Janet Ajilore), a popular Nigerian Juju and Highlife musician known for her energetic live performances, vibrant stage presence and socially engaging party tracks, is dead. She died after a brief illness on Saturday," he wrote.
