Shola Daodu hosts grand reception in Oka to celebrate BTO’s APC primary victories

Members of the BTO Political Family on Sunday converged on Oka, Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, to celebrate the All Progressives Congress' victories in the recently concluded party primaries.

The reception, hosted by Barrister Shola Daodu, popularly known as Janko, at Joreg Hotel, Iwaro Oka, was held on the eve of the Asin of Oka New Yam Festival and attracted party leaders, supporters and political associates from across the state.

The gathering celebrated the emergence of candidates backed by the political structure of the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, including Senator Jide Ipinsagba for the Senate, Hon. Gboyega Adefarati for the House of Representatives and Hon. Raymond Oluwatoyin Daodu for the Ondo State House of Assembly.

Addressing attendees, Daodu urged members of the APC to remain united, describing the BTO Political Family as one of the strongest grassroots political structures in Ondo State.

He said the group's success was built on unity, discipline and commitment to the ideals of progressive governance, adding that its focus remained supporting the APC and ensuring electoral victories in future polls.

Daodu stated that Tunji-Ojo's political drive was centred on mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu and all APC candidates rather than personal ambition.

As part of the event, Daodu unveiled a banner conferring the title, "Alaso Alari of Ondo Politics," on the Minister of Interior, describing it as a recognition of Tunji-Ojo's growing political influence and his ability to unite party members across the state.

He also disclosed that he had produced branded caps bearing the inscription "BTO NBO," but noted that the emergence of APC candidates in the primaries had already demonstrated the strength of the minister's political structure.

The event featured entertainment by Akure-based highlife musician, Solution, while the Executive Vice Chairman of Akoko South-West Local Government commended Daodu for organising what he described as a well-attended gathering that reflected the unity and strength of the party in the area.

The reception ended with party leaders reaffirming their commitment to working for the success of the APC and its candidates in future elections across Ondo State.
