The Tom Garba Support Group in Lere West Constituency of Kaduna State is set to formally endorse former State Assembly aspirant, Tom Garba, at a political gathering scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 2026.
The event will take place at Lea Garun Kurama in Lere Local Government Area, with supporters, political associates, well-wishers and other stakeholders expected to attend the ceremony.
The organisers said the gathering would provide an opportunity for members of the group to publicly declare their support for Garba and strengthen their political mobilisation across the constituency.
Garba, a former aspirant for the state House of Assembly, has continued to maintain contacts with grassroots supporters in Lere West, with his backers describing the movement around him as broad-based and locally driven.
The event has also attracted political attention following the listing of prominent names on the invitation, including President Bola Tinubu, Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, Engineer Ahmed Mair, Hon. Mubarak Ibrahim, Commissioner Abubakar Buba, Professor Matoh D. Dogara and the Lere APC Chairman, Hon. Jonathan Shekarau.
However, the organisers did not indicate that the listed political figures had confirmed their attendance, with their participation expected to depend on their schedules and individual confirmation.
The support group said its growing presence in the constituency reflected increasing grassroots mobilisation around Garba, particularly among supporters who had maintained personal and political relationships with him over time.
Political observers may see the gathering as an opportunity to assess the group’s organisational capacity and its ability to convert its support base into sustained political participation ahead of future electoral contests.
The event is scheduled to commence at noon, with members of the support group, supporters and well-wishers expected to converge on the venue for the formal endorsement.
