The new aides were unveiled by Abbas at a press briefing in Kano on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen the coordination and administrative structure of his presidential campaign.

A statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the presidential candidate, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, said the appointments were aimed at positioning the campaign office for effective engagement with Nigerians and other stakeholders.

The statement added that more appointments would be announced as the need arose, indicating that the campaign structure would continue to expand ahead of the election.

Abbas congratulated the appointees and urged them to carry out their duties with integrity, discipline and professionalism while demonstrating loyalty and commitment to national service.

He said the political movement was built around the principles of “Nigeria First,” inclusive governance, national unity, youth participation, institutional accountability and generational leadership.

The candidate charged the aides to regard their appointments as responsibilities rather than privileges, urging them to work together towards presenting Nigerians with what he described as a credible alternative and a clear vision for a new Nigeria.

“These appointments are not merely positions of privilege; they are positions of responsibility,” Abbas said, urging the team to serve with humility, competence and commitment to the Nigerian people.
