Richard Adogba urges unity, promises inclusive leadership as NACAS President-elect

The newly elected President of the National Congress of Akoko Students, Comrade Adogba Richard, has called for unity among members of the association, saying the priority of his incoming administration is to move NACAS forward.

Adogba, popularly known as Rich-Tech, made the call in his first statement after emerging President-Elect, expressing appreciation to NACAS members for entrusting him with the leadership of the association.

He urged other contestants, their supporters, leaders and stakeholders to accept the outcome of the election and work together for the development of NACAS, stressing that the electoral contest should not divide the association.

According to him, the election should not be viewed as a contest with winners and losers, but as a process through which members collectively choose a new leadership for the association.

He said, “The campaign may have ended, but our collective responsibility has only begun. I extend my hands of fellowship to every contestant, every supporter and every NACASITE. There is a place for everyone in the task of building the NACAS we desire.”

Adogba said his administration would prioritise students’ welfare, academic development, skills acquisition, empowerment, scholarships, effective representation and leadership development.

He also pledged to strengthen NACAS’ engagement with government, educational institutions, community leaders, alumni, philanthropists and other stakeholders, while improving the association’s digital communication and access to opportunities for students.

The President-Elect further promised an administration anchored on transparency, accountability and consultation, saying he would involve members in decision-making rather than lead the association in isolation.

“I will not lead alone. I will listen, I will consult, and together, we will work. The strength of NACAS lies not in one individual, but in the collective ability of NACASITES to dream, unite and act,” he said.

Adogba called on NACAS members to support the incoming administration, describing unity, welfare, empowerment, accountability and progress as the guiding principles of his tenure.

“The election is over. The service begins now. Together, we shall move NACAS forward,” he added.
