World Teachers' Day Adefemi promises better support for teachers in Ondo North


The African Democratic Congress senatorial candidate for Ondo North, Prince Foluso Mayowa Adefemi, has felicitated teachers across the senatorial district on the occasion of the 2026 World Teachers’ Day.

Adefemi, in a goodwill message marking the celebration, described teachers as critical to the development of society, saying their contribution to educating and shaping future generations deserved greater recognition and support.

He said teachers in Ondo North should be provided with the necessary encouragement, opportunities and resources to perform their duties effectively.

The ADC candidate pledged that, if elected to represent the district in the Senate, he would pursue initiatives aimed at empowering teachers, improving their welfare and motivating them to deliver better educational outcomes.

Adefemi said his commitment would include supporting professional development and other programmes capable of improving the capacity and working conditions of teachers across the district.

He urged teachers to remain dedicated to their responsibilities despite the challenges confronting the education sector, assuring them that their efforts remained vital to the future of Ondo North.

The senatorial candidate also called for greater investment in education, noting that quality teaching and learning were essential to developing a skilled and productive younger generation.

He congratulated teachers across Ondo North and wished them a rewarding celebration, while reaffirming his commitment to supporting education and human capital development in the district.
