Ogbuogebe To Oyo Corps Members: Introduce novel ideas to make your products stand out




The National Youth Service Corps Oyo State Coordinator, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe has charged the corps members to introduce novel ideas to their products to make them stand out.She said she was convinced that the products packaged by graduates will certainly turn out better than the ones done by the  less educated. 

The State Coordinator pointed this out while speaking at the SAED  exhibition to mark the end of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme for 2021 Batch 'B' Stream two Orientation Course, held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Iseyin.

She described SAED, as the best thing to have ever happened to NYSC and Young graduates.
Mrs Ogbuogebe  who said that the future of Nigeria is bright with the SAED programme introduced by the National Youth Service Corps added that it will also help ameliorate the problem of unemployment in the country.
She stressed the need for the country to go back to the good old days when vocational skills were taught in schools if Nigeria is to overcome the problem of youth unemployment.
 The SC equally expressed her satisfaction over the commitment and dedication of corps members during their training and promised to ensure that they have the opportunity to continue their training in their various places of primary assignment irrespective of wherever they are posted.

Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe while warning the corps members not to  cut corners also advised them not to despise the days of small beginning as little drops of water make the ocean.

Also speaking during the occasion was the Assistant Director SAED, Mrs Atinuke Ojo who reiterated the vision statement of the SAED programme which is to develop a culture of self reliance in our youths and to equip them with necessary Skills for sustainable job creation towards national development.
She encouraged the corps members to locate post camp training centers after Orientation Course as contained in the Service Guide distributed to them.

Highlights of the event were the testimonies of corps members  appreciating the NYSC Scheme for introducing SAED,
Inspection of the SAED exhibition stand,  and presentation of prizes to the winners of the inter-platoon SAED competition.
