As Muslims around the world mark the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Olamide Oladiji, has called on the Muslim faithful to uphold the values of love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence as taught by Prophet Mohammed.
In a goodwill message to Muslims across Ondo State, Oladiji congratulated them on the occasion and encouraged them to always extend love and kindness to one another. He stressed that the festival is not only a time for celebration but also a period for reflection and rededication to the service of Allah and humanity.
The Speaker highlighted the importance of living by the core teachings of Islam, including peace, forgiveness, and compassion, urging adherents to let these values guide their daily lives.
Oladiji also emphasized the need for unity and peaceful coexistence among all residents, noting that such harmony is essential for the continued development of the state.
He used the opportunity to commend Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his commitment to the welfare of the people and the progress being recorded under his leadership.
The Speaker wished all Muslims in the state a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
