The newly appointed Majority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. (Chief) Olatunji Emmanuel Oshati, has expressed deep appreciation for his elevation, describing it as a major milestone in his political journey and vowing to serve with commitment and integrity.
In a statement released shortly after his emergence, Oshati thanked God, his fellow lawmakers in the 10th Assembly, and the people of Ose Constituency for their consistent support and belief in his leadership.
“It was a defining moment when I was named Majority Leader in a chamber filled with distinguished and brilliant colleagues. This is a significant chapter in my political story,” he stated.
He extended his gratitude to the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Olamide Oladiji, commending him for his exemplary leadership over the past two years. Oshati expressed readiness to work closely with him in his new role.
He also lauded Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for creating a peaceful and democratic environment in the state, praising the governor’s character and leadership style.
Turning to his constituents, Oshati described them as “loving and dependable,” assuring them that their trust would always be respected and upheld. He further recognized the contributions of his family, political allies, traditional and religious leaders, as well as the House staff led by the Clerk, Barr. Benjamin Jaiyeola.
Describing his appointment as a fresh mandate to serve, the lawmaker pledged to carry out his responsibilities with diligence, faithfulness, and a clear focus on the growth of the state.
“With God’s guidance, I will continue to play my part in advancing legislative excellence and contributing to the progress of our Sunshine State,” he concluded.
