Akoko Political Movement congratulates newly appointed Supervisory Councillors, commends Aiyedatiwa’s leadership

A political group under the umbrella of the Akoko Political Movement (APM) has congratulated all the newly appointed Supervisory Councillors across the four local government areas of Akoko in Ondo State which are Akoko South West, Akoko South East, Akoko North West, and Akoko North East.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Convener of the group, Odudu Ayodele (Manifold), described the appointments as a reward for loyalty, dedication, and service to the people, noting that the new appointees have what it takes to contribute meaningfully to grassroots governance.

According to him, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has continued to demonstrate his commitment to inclusive governance through strategic appointments that reflect balance, competence and fairness across the state.

“We congratulate all the newly appointed Supervisory Councillors in Akoko land. Their appointments are well-deserved and a testament to Governor Aiyedatiwa’s passion for rewarding excellence and ensuring that capable hands are brought on board to strengthen local government administration,” Odudu said.

He lauded the governor’s leadership style, describing it as people-oriented and result-driven.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa has proven to be a listening leader whose achievements in office, especially in infrastructural development, workers’ welfare, and political inclusiveness, are commendable. His administration has restored confidence in governance at the grassroots,” he added.

Odudu further urged the new Supervisory Councillors to justify the confidence reposed in them by working diligently to advance the development agenda of their respective local governments.

“They must see their appointments as a call to service, not a position of comfort. The people of Akoko are looking forward to visible results, and I believe they will not disappoint,” he stated.

The APM convener also reaffirmed the group’s support for Governor Aiyedatiwa, pledging continued mobilisation and advocacy to ensure his administration’s success across all parts of Ondo State.
