A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday morning along Oda Road in Akure, Ondo State, as a man was crushed to death by a speeding tipper.
Witnesses said the victim was heading home after taking his children to school when the truck suddenly veered off the road and rammed into his motorcycle.
An eyewitness who spoke with The Hope recounted the heartbreaking scene.
“The man had just dropped his children at school and was on his way home when the tipper crushed him. It was a very sad scene,” the eyewitness said.
The crash reportedly claimed the victim’s life instantly.
At press time, his body had been taken from the scene, while security operatives were making efforts to apprehend the fleeing driver.
