The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has rolled out a statewide membership e-registration exercise aimed at strengthening the party’s internal structure, improving data integrity and boosting grassroots mobilisation.
The initiative, which covers the revalidation of existing members and the registration of new entrants, was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative and Party Affairs, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde.
According to the statement, the exercise is designed to produce a credible, error-free and comprehensive membership register that will enhance effective planning, coordination and decision-making at all levels of the party.
Declaring open a two-day training programme for registration officials, the Governor of Ondo State and leader of the APC in the state, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, underscored the importance attached to the e-registration exercise by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that it aligns with the party’s progressive ideals of transparency, accountability and data-driven governance.
Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed that the APC in Ondo State remains a united family despite diverse interests, stressing that unity and discipline are critical to sustaining the party’s dominance and electoral success.
To ensure seamless implementation, the party disclosed that state coordinators, senatorial administrators, local government supervisors and ward agents drawn from the 203 wards across the state have undergone training. It added that re-training and onboarding of additional ward agents are ongoing to accelerate the process and deepen its reach across communities.
Babatunde called for massive participation in the exercise, urging existing members to revalidate their membership while welcoming new members into the party.
He appealed to party leaders at the ward and local government levels to mobilise support to achieve the objectives of the exercise, adding that members and intending members should register with designated ward agents in their respective wards.
The APC fixed January 31, 2026, as the deadline for the e-registration, urging all stakeholders to comply.
“Together, we shall strengthen our party and consolidate the progressive vision for Ondo State and Nigeria,” the statement added.
