A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Ayodele Odudu, popularly known as Manifold, has congratulated the people of the state as it marks its 50th anniversary.

Odudu, an aspirant for the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Akoko North West Constituency I, described the golden jubilee as a milestone that reflects the resilience, cultural heritage and steady progress of the state since its creation.

In a statement on Monday, he praised Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for what he described as purposeful leadership and commitment to inclusive governance across the state.

“Ondo State at 50 is a testament to the strength and perseverance of our people. This anniversary gives us another opportunity to reflect on how far we have come and renew our collective resolve to build a better future,” Odudu said.

He commended the Aiyedatiwa administration for prioritising development and stability, noting that the governor had continued to deepen peace and infrastructural growth despite economic challenges.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa has shown capacity and dedication in steering the affairs of the state. His leadership has brought renewed hope to many communities, and he deserves commendation for his efforts,” he said.

The APC chieftain called on residents of the state to sustain unity and support policies aimed at accelerating development, stressing that collective responsibility remained key to Ondo’s progress.

According to him, the 50th anniversary should inspire greater commitment from political leaders and citizens alike to ensure that Ondo State attains its full potential in the years ahead.

Ondo State was created on February 3, 1976, and is marking five decades of existence with various commemorative activities across the state.
