Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, about 1,500 registered support groups of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have formally endorsed The Renewed Hope Network (TRN) as a platform to mobilize grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election.
The announcement came in a statement issued in Abuja by Dr. AK Peters, Deputy Director-General of the APC Support Groups Council. He said the decision followed a strategic meeting with the TRN technical team, led by seasoned party mobilizer and former Senior Special Assistant to the APC National Chairman on Civil Society, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, and international diplomat, Prof. Tunji John Asaolu.
Dr. Peters expressed confidence in the growing momentum of the TRN across the country, noting that the network is already gaining widespread acceptance. He said the platform, spearheaded by former Zamfara State Governor and Senator representing Zamfara West, Abdulaziz Yari, is well-positioned to drive grassroots mobilization ahead of the elections.
According to the statement, TRN has commenced early strategic activities, including the deployment of Polling Unit Canvassers nationwide, to ensure effective engagement with voters in every community.
Peters highlighted that out of over 3,500 registered APC support groups, 1,500 have already partnered with TRN, with plans for an additional 2,000 groups to join before Easter.
He added that the network has established robust structures and strategies aimed at securing a decisive victory for President Tinubu.
“The Renewed Hope Network is committed to building a formidable grassroots movement in support of Mr. President, connecting every corner of the country within a short period,” Peters said.
He praised the leadership of Senator Abdulaziz Yari, describing TRN as the nation’s most effective vehicle for grassroots mobilization, and vowed that no effort would be spared to ensure President Tinubu is inaugurated for a second term on May 29, 2027.
