Residents of Abusoro community in Ijoka area of Akure, Ondo State, have declared their support for Oluwafemi Fadairo ahead of the 2027 general elections, pledging to deliver overwhelming votes in his favour.
The assurance was given during a visit by the All Progressives Congress aspirant and his campaign team as part of ongoing consultations across Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency.
Fadairo, accompanied by political associates including Prince Tony Ala, Elder Dele Faboro and the Chairman of Oyemekun Local Development Council Area, Hon. Ifedayo Ologometa, was warmly received by residents in what turned into a rally of endorsement.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Chairman of Abusoro, Kehinde Adisa, said the decision to back the aspirant was based on his performance, accessibility and commitment to grassroots development.
He noted that Fadairo, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and as Director of Administration to the Senate, had demonstrated capacity and responsiveness to the needs of the people.
Adisa recalled that the aspirant had intervened in critical infrastructure challenges in the community, including the rehabilitation of erosion-damaged roads and facilitation of an ongoing bridge project long demanded by residents.
He added that the installation of solar-powered streetlights in the area further reinforced confidence in Fadairo’s commitment to development.
“We have assessed all those vying to represent us and we are convinced that he is the right choice. In Abusoro, he has our full support and we will mobilise massively for him,” Adisa said.
Another community leader, Tayo Ajayi, also expressed confidence in the aspirant, stressing the need for effective representation that reflects the aspirations of constituents.
According to him, the constituency requires a lawmaker who is visible, accessible and committed to improving the welfare of the people.
Responding, Fadairo appreciated the community for the reception and endorsement, describing it as a demonstration of trust and confidence.
He assured residents that their support would not be taken for granted, pledging to focus on people-oriented programmes and attract federal projects to the constituency if elected.
The APC aspirant also promised inclusive representation, adding that he would prioritise initiatives aimed at empowering youths and women while giving the constituency a strong voice at the National Assembly.
