Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Thursday paid a visit to former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, at his Abuja residence shortly after the conclusion of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary.
The visit, which has drawn political attention, came days after the party’s presidential contest in which both Atiku and Amaechi were prominent aspirants.
Atiku was accompanied on the visit by former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, ex-ADC National Chairman, Ralph Nwosu, and other senior party figures.
Although details of the meeting were not disclosed, the development is coming amid political discussions and realignments following the outcome of the ADC primary election.
Photographs from the visit showed Amaechi receiving his visitors in a warm atmosphere at his Abuja residence.
