Prior to the 2016 gubernatorial election in Ondo State , the sunshine state was in total shambles with seven (7) months unpaid salary of both civil and public servants, politically motivated sacked of workers in tertiary Institutions across the state , infrastructural decay , insecurity and abject poverty was the order of the day.
Consequent upon his swearing in as executive governor of the state, Arakunrin Akeredolu instead of complaining of paucity of resources as occasioned by the biting economic recession, he rather rolled his sleeves and zoomed into action with a pace associated with a serious and determined agent of change.
Today, the success story recorded by Arakunrin in there for anybody to see within the 3 and half years of his administration. In the area of critical infrastructure, Arakunrin Akeredolu has literally turned Ondo State to construction hub as over 200 kms of roads have been constructed and rehabilitated across the three senatorial districts of the state since February, 2017 when he took the mantle of leadership as Executive governor of Ondo state. The brand newly built and commissioned Ore bridge has eased transportation problem in Ore axis of the state and the massive roads construction have enhanced rural - urban connection.
The health care sector has received a huge boost through the upgrading of the college of health in the state, the full accreditation of the Ondo state school of Nursing and the establishment of a state teaching hospital for the university of medical sciences, ondo city. It should be noted that by this establishment, Arakunrin Akeredolu has removed the shame from Ondo state being the only state in the south west , Nigeria without a teaching hospital.
Arakunrin Akeredolu has fulfilled his inauguration promise of never to owe workers in the state any salary as he pays workers salary as at when due. He has successfully offset the outstanding promotion arrears of civil servants, provision of car loans for teachers and recruitment of over 5000 new hands into the service. The civil servants have never had it so good before the advent of this administration putting into perspective that six (6) out of the seven (7) months outstanding salary owned them by the previous administration has been cleared by Arakunrin Akeredolu.
Arakunrin Akeredolu A.K.A Governor Talk and Do has taken the task of industrialising Ondo state and turning it to economic -hub for south western Nigeria to a new height through the establishment of Ondo- linyi industrial hub that has generated over 2000 direct employment to the citizenry of the state. The industrial hub at full capacity is expected to generate 20000 jobs with the recent flag off of the assembly of truck at the industrial hub.
Within three (3) years of Arakunrin Akeredolu administration, over 800 public primary schools have been constructed , renovated and equipped with modern teaching facilities and conducive learning atmosphere for our children.
If under three and half years , Arakunrin has done these, definitely in 8 years , Ondo state would be turned to El Dorado under his astute administration. Arakunrin has earned our trust through his superlative performance and he deserves our votes to return him to Alagbaka in october ,20 ,2020.
