Following the passing on of HRM Olusupare of Supare in Ondo State, late Oba Adejoro Adedeji, a first class traditional ruler, the Olubaka of Oka-Akoko, Oba Yusuf Adebori Adeleye has described the death of the late monarch as a colossal loss to his town and Ondo State Council of Obas.
The 77-year-old Olusupare, who reigned for decades, joined his ancestors on Monday, May 24.
According to a Palace source, Oba Adejoro had been absent from public functions lately, because of an undisclosed illness.
While commiserating with the entire Supare community, Oba Adeleye stated that the huge contributions of the septuagenarian would be greatly missed at the meetings of traditional rulers in the State.
The Alale of Akungba land, Oba Isaac Sunday Adeyeye, Ajimo III, also extolled the virtues and remarkable reign of the late Oba Olusupare; saying the deceased was a remarkable mediator and peace maker during inter communal crisis.
In his own condolence message, a prominent community leader, Mr. Adedeji Adelana, expressed sadness over the sudden exit of the late Oba.
According to Adelana, Olusuoare's reign brought peace and prosperity to his agrarian community.
However, the Chief Imam of the community, Sheik Abdulrasheed Akerele, urged residents to emulate the good examples and topnotch leadership attributes of the departed ruler.
