The Odubanjo Regional Superintendent of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Pastor Gideon Obiwale, has charged Christians to remain steadfast and trust God for restoration in all situations, no matter how hopeless they may appear.
He gave the charge on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the induction service of the new Akungba Akoko Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Pius Olajide, and his wife, Dr. Esther Olajide, held at the Oke-Isegun Zonal Headquarters, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State.
Preaching on the theme “Dry Bones Shall Rise Again,” Obiwale reminded the congregation that God retains the power to revive every dead situation, drawing inspiration from Ezekiel 37:1–10. He urged believers to remain unshaken in their walk with God despite social and economic challenges confronting the nation.
The Regional Superintendent also appealed to members of the zone to extend full cooperation to the newly inducted superintendent to enable him succeed in both spiritual and infrastructural growth of the church.
Responding, Pastor Olajide described Obiwale as a role model whose leadership style has greatly influenced his ministry.
He urged Christians to remain prayerful and vigilant, condemning recent attacks on churches, including the assault on a CAC assembly in Eruku, Kwara State.
“May the Lord console the families of the victims and give them the grace and fortitude to bear the loss. I urge all Christians to be prayerful concerning the situations of our country because if we keep our faith in him alive, we shall be victorious at the end,” he said.
The inductee expressed gratitude to the church for its confidence in his vision for the zone, pledging unwavering commitment, humility and Godly wisdom in serving the congregation.
In a goodwill message, the Church Secretary, Elder Tomisin Babaleye, lauded Olajide’s rapid impact on the zone.
According to him, “It is rare to witness such transformation within a church community in so little time, but through the grace of God and the leadership of this humble servant, we have experienced both spiritual and physical growth.”
He prayed for God’s wisdom and strength for the new superintendent as he pilots the affairs of the zone.
Also speaking, former Registrar of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Elder (Dr.) Michael Ayeerun, noted that the induction marked the reward of Pastor Olajide’s dedication, character and commitment to God’s work.
He described him as a prayerful and anointed minister whose elevation was widely welcomed by members.
The ceremony drew clerics, dignitaries and church leaders from across the region, including D/S Pastors Kayode Awe and Toluwalase Ehinola; Pastors Babatope Ojo, C.O. Adelabu, Tunde Ekunniyi, David Ademola, Olu Oyewole, Emmanuel Otunlape; as well as Evangelists Olorunosebi Anjorin and Victor Atunramu, among others.
