Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Jide Ipinsagba, has spread yuletide joy across the district with the distribution of six trailers of rice, other food items and cash gifts to residents.
The distribution, which commenced on Friday, is being carried out across the six local government areas that make up the senatorial district. Each local government received 600 bags of rice for onward distribution to residents.
Apart from rice, other items shared include spaghetti, garri and clothing materials. In addition, a total cash gift of N36 million was disbursed across the 72 wards in the district, with each ward receiving N500,000.
Party leaders across the local government areas and wards were also beneficiaries of the senator’s yuletide largesse.
Other groups that benefited from the exercise include market women, students, youth bodies, as well as various groups and individuals across the senatorial district.
The gesture, according to aides of the senator, underscores his commitment to ensuring that constituents feel supported, especially during the festive season.
Ipinsagba has consistently prioritised initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and economic wellbeing of the people of Ondo North, with the yuletide distribution seen as part of his broader efforts to uplift constituents and strengthen community support systems.
