The race for the Akoko North Federal Constituency seat gained momentum on Wednesday as an aspirant on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement, Prince Daniel Omolola, officially obtained his nomination form ahead of the forthcoming election.
The development, according to supporters of the aspirant, signals the beginning of what they described as a renewed push for quality representation and grassroots-focused leadership in the constituency.
Party members, youths and supporters who accompanied Omolola during the exercise expressed optimism about his candidacy, citing his leadership qualities and commitment to community development.
Speaking shortly after obtaining the form, Omolola said his ambition was driven by the desire to provide effective and people-oriented representation for residents of Akoko North Federal Constituency.
He pledged to run an inclusive campaign anchored on unity, transparency, youth empowerment and grassroots development.
According to him, the political journey is beyond personal ambition and focused more on delivering responsible leadership capable of improving the lives of the people.
Omolola also appreciated the leadership of the APM and supporters who had continued to stand by him since the beginning of his political consultations.
He urged party faithful and residents across the constituency to remain united and committed to the collective pursuit of progress and development.
“Our mission is beyond politics. It is about offering purposeful leadership that will positively impact the people and move the constituency forward,” he said.
Political observers in the area noted that Omolola’s entrance into the race under the APM platform had further widened political participation ahead of the polls.
Among those present during the collection of the nomination form were the APM candidate for Akoko North West Constituency II in the Ondo State House of Assembly election, Barrister Remi Aribisala, and the party’s candidate for Akoko North East Constituency, Hon. Shola Jimoh.
Also in attendance were a former PDP Chairman of Ogbagi Ward 6 and several party leaders and supporters who declared solidarity with the aspiration.
