Motorcyclist dies after ramming into parked trailer in Ondo


A 50-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Fatai Omo Alhaji Ijesha, has lost his life after crashing into a stationary trailer in the Isha Kumi area of Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State.

The fatal accident occurred on Sunday evening as the victim was reportedly travelling from his residence in the Isha Kumi area to the Semusemu area for a social engagement.

According to an eyewitness, the deceased was riding his motorcycle when he rammed into a trailer parked along the roadside.

The impact of the collision left him with severe injuries, and he was said to have died at the scene before help could reach him.

"He died instantly before residents and other sympathisers could rescue him," the eyewitness disclosed.

His body was later evacuated to a hospital mortuary.

Attempts to obtain official confirmation from the Ondo State Police Command and the Federal Road Safety Corps were unsuccessful, as calls and enquiries made before the filing of this report did not receive a response.
