The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has restored access to its Central Admissions Processing System following a technical disruption that temporarily prevented candidates from checking their admission status.
The restoration comes days after JAMB announced that the platform had become inaccessible due to technical issues involving its hosting arrangements, prompting the board to engage the service provider to resolve the problem.
CAPS is the platform used by JAMB to coordinate admissions into Nigerian tertiary institutions and allows candidates to view admission offers and indicate whether they accept or reject them.
The disruption occurred as the 2026 admission exercise was ongoing, leaving some candidates unable to access their profiles or monitor developments regarding their applications.
With the platform now accessible, candidates can log into their JAMB e-Facility accounts and check their CAPS profiles for any updates concerning their admission status.
Candidates who receive admission offers are advised to carefully review the details and complete any required action within the specified period to avoid missing relevant deadlines.
However, access to CAPS does not mean that every candidate will automatically receive an admission offer, as admissions remain subject to the processes of the respective institutions and JAMB’s approval.
The board is expected to continue processing admissions, while candidates are advised to regularly check their profiles and rely on official communications from JAMB and their chosen institutions for verified updates.
