The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Ondo State Governor, Dr Adekola Falohun, has described the death of the late Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, as a major loss to the Fakulude/Famuyide dynasty, Ondo State and Nigeria.
Falohun said the late elder statesman was not only a prominent figure in the socio-political landscape but also a respected patriarch whose influence fostered unity and strengthened family ties across generations.
He noted that Fasoranti, who belonged to the same extended family lineage as his father, served as a rallying point for members of the Fakulude and Famuyide dynasty, providing guidance, inspiration and a strong sense of belonging.
According to him, the late Afenifere leader occupied a special place in the family’s history, with his leadership and commitment to preserving family bonds making him a father figure to many relatives.
“Pa Fasoranti was more than an elder statesman to us; he was a unifying force within the Fakulude and Famuyide dynasty. His wisdom, guidance and fatherly presence brought members of the family together and gave successive generations a figure to look up to,” Falohun said.
The governor’s aide added that the late patriarch’s death had left a painful void that would be difficult to fill, noting that his contributions to the family and the wider society would remain part of his enduring legacy.
He extended his condolences to the Fasoranti family, members of the Fakulude and Famuyide dynasty, the Akure Kingdom, the Ondo State Government and the people of the state, as well as Nigerians and others across the world mourning the deceased.
Falohun prayed that God would grant the bereaved families and all those affected by the loss the strength to endure the difficult period.
He also prayed for the peaceful repose of Fasoranti’s soul, expressing confidence that his memory would endure through the values, wisdom and example he left behind.
