The leadership of Peace Development Security And Humanitarian Rights Association of Niger Deltans has
commended the effort of PMB for asking those seeking for elective positions in the forthcoming 2023 general election to resign Hon Festus Keyamo (SAN,) in line with the constitutional requirement of the Federal republic of Nigeria Which have led to the resignation of the concerned
Ministers.
The Humanitarian Group in their
goodwill message to President Buhari
noted that the current development which have created vacancies and vacuum in the affacted ministerial offices , have also thrown up an urgent need for the vacant positions to be filled
as promised by Mr President because every Government is a work in progress.
Comrade Mike JK Tiemo, the President of the Group , who spoke in the oil City of Warrri stated that since the out going Ministers of Petroleum Resources and his counterpart in Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs are from the Niger Delta Region,
we hereby without any hesitation and deprivation recommend that Hon Festus keyamo ( SAN) should be reassigned to the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs as the Apex Leader or Ministry of of Petroleum Resources for good Governance and for the overall interest of Niger Deltans and Nigeria in general.
Comrade Mike Tiemo, explained in their statement of request that Hon Festus keyamo (SAN) have the requisite knowledge and expertise to function optimally in any of the aforementioned two Ministries above.
According to Comrade Tiemo, Hon Festus keyamo (SAN) is an illustrious
son of the Niger Delta who is a grassroot politician , very close to his people with a people oriented heart to
address lingering issues and challenges
in the Niger Delta region to stem the tide of unrest situation and unnecessary tension.
The Humanitarian Activist stressed that , Hon Festus keyamo (SAN) who knows the law, the workings of Government and the importance of development and security can be trusted to discharge his new ministerial functions, responsibilities and obligations in order to enhance the growth and development of the Niger Delta region and Nigeria at large without bias and tribalism or segregation.
He added: "Hon Festus keyamo SAN, being a seasoned silk, will also use the instruments of his good office to bring in foreign investors to partner with all relevant stakeholders or agency to profer solution to address insecurity, all unscrupulous acts through the provision of employment, empowerment , human capital development,capacity building , Community development etc which are the basic expectation of the common man"
Speaking further , Comrade Tiemo posited: "The consideration of the re-assignment request of Hon Festus keyamo will go a long way to promote the prevailing peace in the Niger Delta region and also fasttrack rapid development in the region." he concluded.
