Your letter to Tinubu unnecessary —Ondo Assembly tells five Reps members


The Ondo State All Progressive Congress(APC) Caucus in the State House of Assembly under the leadership of the Speaker of the House, Rt.Hon.Olamide Oladiji has called on politicians in the state to maintain decorum,uphold the existing peace in the State and work for the overall progress of the party at all times.

The call was made in an official statement made available to journalists by the Secretary of the Caucus,Hon.Gbegudu Ololade,today in Akure.

Reacting to the purported letter written to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by some members of the Ondo State APC Caucus in the Federal House of Representatives, the House of Assembly Caucus condemned the act,saying it was unnecessary especially at this time that the State is preparing for the burial of the Former Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON.

The state lawmakers noted the tireless efforts of President Tinubu and the leadership of APC led by its national Chairman,Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje in encouraging unity and cohesion among political actors of Ondo State.

While calling on the five APC caucus in the House of Representatives to sheath their swords and not heat up the Polity in the overall interest of the party at large,the House of Assembly members advised their senior counterparts to channel their energies in supporting the lofty policies of Governor Aiyedatiwa and join him in fostering development for the Ondo state citizenry. 

"We enjoin our brothers in the House of Representatives not to heat up the polity by this unwarranted accusations,name callings and finger pointings. We admonish them to rather work together with other members of our party as a big family under the leadership of Governor Aiyedatiwa,in order to achieve a common goal,"the statement reads.

The state legislators expressed absolute confidence in the capability of the Governor of Ondo State,Hon.Lucky Aiyedatiwa,urging him to continue with the good job of his predecessor.

The APC caucus in the Ondo State House of Assembly, later appealed to members of the ruling party to work assiduously for its victory in the forthcoming governorship election.
