The National Association of Akoko South West Students Union has lauded the Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Jide Ipinsagba, for providing free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board forms to students in the area preparing for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

The appreciation was conveyed in a statement jointly signed by the union’s President, Ayodele Akinola, General Secretary, Amuwa Tosin Chris, and Public Relations Officer, Segun Kabir Jimoh, and made available to journalists on Sunday.

The student body described the intervention as a significant educational support aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and encouraging more students in Akoko South West Local Government Area to pursue higher education.

According to the association, the gesture has renewed hope among prospective candidates and demonstrated the senator’s commitment to youth development and access to education across the constituency.

The union noted that many beneficiaries who might have struggled to register for the examination due to economic challenges were able to secure their forms through the initiative.

It added that the programme would positively impact academic advancement in the area by increasing participation in tertiary education admissions.

The students’ body expressed appreciation to the lawmaker for what it termed a timely intervention and urged him to sustain programmes that promote educational empowerment and human capital development.

The association also reaffirmed its gratitude on behalf of students in the local government, describing the initiative as a meaningful investment in the future of young people in Ondo North.
