Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, following his victory in the August 15 governorship election in the state.
A Facebook post by the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, on Thursday, disclosed that Adeleke led a delegation to the President and presented his certificate of return.
The visit came after the governor secured victory in the recently concluded governorship poll, in which he was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
According to the post, Adeleke used the occasion to express appreciation to Tinubu following the outcome of the election.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives in audience a delegation led by Governor Ademola Adeleke, as he presents his certificate of return to Mr President and gives gratitude for success at the just-concluded August 15 governorship election in Osun State,” the aide stated.
The meeting brought together the President and the Osun governor shortly after the election, with Adeleke formally presenting his certificate of return to Tinubu.
The governor was accompanied by members of his delegation during the visit, according to the presidential aide’s post.
The meeting comes as Adeleke begins preparations for another term in office following his victory at the polls.
