Ondo APC moves to unite members, meets ex-SSG

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has begun moves to strengthen unity among its members and mobilise stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The state chairman of the party, Kolawole Babatunde, led members of the State Working Committee to the Alagbaka residence of the Director of Corporate Services, Niger Delta Development Commission, Ifedayo Abegunde, as part of the ongoing consultations.

The meeting, according to a statement signed by Babatunde, was aimed at deepening cooperation among party leaders and ensuring effective mobilisation of members ahead of the elections, particularly the presidential poll.

Babatunde stressed the need for unity and loyalty among APC members, saying sustained engagement with stakeholders remained crucial to consolidating the party’s position across the state.

He said the party leadership was committed to an inclusive approach that would enable members to work together towards the success of the APC at the forthcoming elections.

Responding, Abegunde thanked the party leadership for the visit and pledged his continued support for the APC and the state government’s OUR EASE agenda.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, according to the statement.

The meeting ended with the party leaders resolving to intensify collaboration, grassroots mobilisation and stakeholder engagement ahead of the elections.
