The birthday celebration of the member representing Akoko North-East/Akoko North-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Ifeoluwa Ehindero, was marked with a visit to the Ondo State School for the Physically Impaired in Ikare-Akoko.
Ehindero’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibukun-Oluwa James Akeju, led the outreach to the school located at Otun Ireti, along Ogbagi Road, Ikare-Akoko, where gifts were presented to the students.
The visit also featured an interaction between the students, school management and members of the delegation, as part of activities organised to mark the lawmaker’s birthday.
Speaking during the visit, Akeju said the decision to celebrate Ehindero’s birthday at the school was driven by the desire to make the occasion meaningful to members of the community.
He said, “A birthday is not only a time to celebrate life, but also an opportunity to reflect on the lives we can touch and the difference we can make in the lives of others.”
Akeju added that spending time with the students provided an opportunity to share love and remind them that they were valued and remembered.
He thanked friends, colleagues and youth leaders who joined the delegation and supported the outreach, including Saliu Wasiu Abiodun, popularly known as Wesco, the Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Others acknowledged included members of ICM, Akoko North-East; the President of the Akoko North-West Youth Forum, Comrade Ademoye, and his team; Ehindero’s Special Adviser on Youth Engagement and Mobilisation, Comrade Muhammed Olalekan Kazzem; NACAS Senate President, Senator Ajose Tomiwa, and others.
The students and staff of the institution welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the gifts and time spent with them.
One of the students, Adebayo Joy, said the visit was memorable, noting that the presence of the visitors meant as much to the students as the items presented.
A teacher at the school, Mr Dunsi, also thanked the delegation, saying the visit gave the students a sense of belonging and encouragement.
Akeju, while congratulating Ehindero on his birthday, prayed for continued strength and wisdom for the lawmaker in his service to the people.
