The Federal Road Safety Corps has announced that its 2026 recruitment exercise will commence on Friday, July 3, with qualified Nigerians invited to apply for vacancies in its officer, marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant cadres.
The corps said applications would be submitted online through its recruitment portal and would remain open for four weeks.
According to a recruitment notice dated June 24 and signed by the Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of Administration and Human Resources, Pauline Olaye, on behalf of the Corps Marshal, the application process is entirely free.
The FRSC urged prospective applicants to submit their applications through its official recruitment portal, adding that shortlisted candidates would be required to present printed copies of their application forms during the screening exercise.
The agency said vacancies were available under three categories.
For the Officer Cadre, it is seeking applications from qualified professionals, including medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, lawyers, engineers and graduates with B.Sc., BA or HND qualifications, depending on the position. Applicants in the category must generally be between 18 and 35 years of age.
The Marshal Inspectorate Cadre is open to holders of the Nigeria Certificate in Education, National Diploma, Ordinary National Diploma, Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife and Community Health Extension Worker qualifications. Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old.
For the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre, applicants must possess at least three credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, including English Language and Mathematics. Artisans and professional drivers are also eligible to apply, subject to relevant trade qualifications and valid licences.
The corps said artisans such as mechanics, electricians, plumbers, computer operators, tailors, motorcycle riders and drivers could apply under the category.
It added that applicants for driver and rider positions must possess the appropriate class of driver's licence, while articulated vehicle and tow-truck drivers must be between 26 and 40 years old.
The FRSC stated that applicants must be Nigerians by birth, medically fit, computer literate and single. It added that male applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65 metres, while female applicants must be at least 1.58 metres tall.
The agency also required candidates to declare all educational and professional qualifications during the recruitment process, warning that undeclared certificates would not be recognised for future career advancement.
It further stated that applicants must be of good character, free from financial indebtedness, have no criminal conviction and must not have tattoos on any part of their bodies.
The corps advised applicants to use their personal email addresses and telephone numbers for registration and urged pregnant women not to participate in the exercise.
Reiterating that the recruitment is free, the FRSC cautioned prospective applicants against fraudsters and advised members of the public to contact its emergency line, 122, for enquiries.
